Our Year 12 Stantonbury Students recently took a bold step into the professional world during a dynamic leadership workshop with Dale Willis.
The session focused on identity, digital presence, and personal branding, with students guided through the process of creating and refining their LinkedIn profiles. Dale shared real-life insights into how leadership begins long before a job title, and how online platforms can be powerful tools for reflecting purpose, passion, and potential.
Highlights of the session included:
- Creating professional LinkedIn accounts from scratch
- Writing engaging bios and showcasing school leadership experiences
- Learning how to use LinkedIn for networking, goal setting, and future planning
- Developing confidence in posture, communication, and self-presentation

Beyond technical skills, Dale encouraged students to think deeply about the kind of leaders they want to be. The concept of personal brand was explored in detail, with students reflecting on key questions such as:
- What do I stand for as a leader?
- What legacy do I want to leave in this community?
- How do I present myself in professional spaces, both online and in person?
By the end of the session, every participating student had launched a live, authentic LinkedIn profile that captured their leadership identity and school contributions. More importantly, they left with a clearer understanding of how to represent themselves professionally, not just for university and careers, but as confident, values-led young adults.
