Welcome to The Link, where our SEMH children engage in activities focused on their feelings and emotions.
We offer two interventions with weekly topics: "Talk About" and "Zones of Regulation." These sessions are enjoyed by the children as they are always positive and provide opportunities to learn something new.
The Link provides a calm and focused space for all our children to thrive. Additionally, we have a calm room available for children who need space and time to self-regulate their emotions.
Throughout each term, we host Nurture breakfasts or afternoon teas to celebrate the children's achievements.
Our focus is on building confidence, resilience, and healthy emotional regulation. We incorporate various arts and crafts activities, which not only aid in teenage brain development but also provide opportunities for creative expression.
Each art project is a term-long endeavor, with each year group working on a different project:
- Year 7: Creating shapes on canvas using paints and colored sticks.
- Year 8: "All About Me" projects using card and paints.
- Year 9: "Landscapes" projects using real materials to build colors and layers.
- Year 10: "All About Me" projects on canvas using paints.
