Stantonbury Students Shine at Cambridge Wilman Project Day

We are proud to share the success of our Year 12 students who recently took part in the Wilman Programme at the University of Cambridge on Monday 28th April 2025.

This inspiring event brought together Year 12 students from several schools for a day of insight into university life. From the outset, students were warmly welcomed and took part in icebreakers before heading off on a guided tour of the Cambridge campus, offering a real sense of what it’s like to study at one of the world’s leading universities.

After lunch, the day continued with an engaging presentation and an honest panel discussion led by current Cambridge students, who offered valuable advice and answered questions about applications, student life, and their personal journeys. An informal Q&A session provided students with even more opportunity to explore the university experience.

A highlight of the day was the inter-school student debate. We are thrilled to announce that Stantonbury School took home the win, with Harrison delivering a confident and persuasive performance that impressed the judges and audience alike.

This fantastic opportunity not only gave our students a glimpse into higher education but also left them feeling motivated and better prepared for their academic futures.

A huge well done to all our students who attended — and a special congratulations to Harrison for representing Stantonbury so brilliantly!
