At 11 AM, the Friday before Remembrance Sunday, Stantonbury held two minutes silence to reflect on the tragedy of war.
Students across the school conducted this solemn act with great respect for the significance of the sacrifice made by those who lost their lives.
We remember people who have served and sacrificed for and alongside the UK, including armed forces, emergency services, and all those affected.
This reminds us that whenever there is fighting, there is always a human cost, both for the people fighting and for the people living in countries involved.
As a school community we came together and reflected on the tragedy of lives already lost, while aspiring to be a small part of creating a world where there is increased respect and tolerance—where war is a thing of the past.
