Stantonbury School Sixth Form

Stantonbury School Sixth Form

Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form

Leading Sixth Form is a real privilege and I am excited to join the Stantonbury Family. I am keen to build on some excellent practice and develop a sixth form built on challenge and support. It is our aim to create an ethos that is professional, motivated and successful, whilst always supporting individual students. As young adults who are getting ready to make their own way in the world, it is important we support our learners not only academically but also as well rounded citizens, and this comes through knowing our students well. Our main focus has to be achieving strong individual outcomes, and this is more likely with personalised support and a sense of belonging to a strong community, which we are proud to be building.

High expectations, a strong community and personalised support will help each Stantonbury Sixth Former to be the very best version of themselves.

We look forward to welcoming you for the next stage of your education.

Rachael Dedman - Head of Sixth Form

Post Open Evening 202320231123 173434417

Thank you to everyone who came to our Sixth Form open evening! It was great to see so many of our current Year 11 students attend the event, which was a huge success. We were also happy to see so many students from other nearby schools.

Rachael Dedman, our Head of Sixth Form said "It was lovely to feel such a buzz about the evening, with so many students committed to the next steps of their education. We can't wait to hold our taster events and see the applications come flooding in in the new year."

One set of feedback stated "What a great evening, so exciting and well put together. I'm pleased that my daughter has decided put an application here after coming to the event."

Another said "We were both blown away with the offer that Stantonbury had! The speech from yourself was inspiring and put light back into her eyes! The support from teachers was amazing, giving her advice on the courses and pathways she could take. She has now confirmed her choice and that is Stantonbury 6th form! She is excited for her future and we both know she will be supported and encouraged by all."

16-19 Bursary Fund

A government funded financial support bursary may be available to eligible students whilst they study with us at Sixth Form. It is intended to help students overcome barriers to participation so that they can remain in education and assists with costs such as travel, food, books and equipment. Full details and guidance are available from our sixth form student support leader, Mrs. Maxwell.
